Techsheet: you can print this tech sheet directly from your browser.

This organic wine is made from 100% Montepulciano grapes. The vineyards are at a southerly exposure and are set at 200m asl. The soils are calcareous clay and a bit of obsidian. The grapes are all hand harvested to ensure the best quality and then is macerated for 20 days on the skins. Malolactic fermentation is done in oak barrel and about 70% of the wine is aged 10-12 months in French oak [2nd-3rd passage] while 30 % is aged in stainless steel. The wine is bottle aged for at least 6 months.

Ruby red in color with deep garnet reflections and intensity.
On the nose there is bright red fruit plus a touch of vanilla and spice like cloves. On the palate the wine is full bodied, well integrated and balanced with fresh cherry flavors, spice and earth.
