Production area: Castelvetere Cru. Grapes: 100% Aglianico di Taurasi.
Age of the vineyard: 10 – 20 years. Vineyard position: South, with a South-West orientation of the rows. Soil composition: Hilly terrains of volcanic origin, clayey, calcareous.
Altitude: Between 400 and 650 metres above the sea level. Harvest: First days of November.
Vinification: Controlled temperature (25 – 30° C) with a prolonged maceration in roto – fermenter. Ageing: twenty – four months in French oak “Allier” barrels. Bottle ageing: 2 years
ORGANOLEPTIC PROPERTIES Colour: Intense Ruby red with a tinge of pomegranate Aroma: Vanilla, Liquorice, smoke Palate: Dry, full – bodied velvety texture rich, soft tannins with notes of cherry, cocoa, earth and pleasantly spicy. Food and wine pairing: Main courses with mushrooms, truffles, meat sauce, game, red meats, seasoned cheeses. Serving temperature: 16/18°C
