L'oiseau
. . . . . . . . . . . . >Garnet in color with ruby highlights, this wine is both powerful and sleek with aromas of fragrant black fruit, violet, garrigue and toasted cinnamon. A blend of Carignan, Grenache and Syrah, made in the tradition of fine Corbières wines. 10 000 bottles.
Blend: 55 % Carignan 30 % Grenache and 15 % Syrah
Vineyard: Clay/Limestone terraced in the northern foothills of the Alaric Mountain (Corbieres)
Plots: This blend of Carignan, Grenache and Syrah comes from three single vineyards, each one harvested separately
Carignan from "L'hirondell" (89 years old); sand silt and pebbles
Grenache from "Cambou" (20 years old); plateau of pebbles on sandy soil
Syrah from "La Bade" (28years old); sandy clay loam
all stainless steel, 16 months of vatting and 3 years in bottle before release
