Domaine de L’amaurigue, South of France

Amour Rosé

Techsheet: you can print this tech sheet directly from your browser.

This is the little brother of our rock-star best selling “Fleur” de L’amaurigue.

Domaine de l’Amaurigue has been owned by the De Groot Family since 1998. Dick and Eugénie as well as their two children, Fleur and Melvin, fell in love with the charms of this exceptional property. The winemaker of L’Amaurigue, Jean Marie Quef’s parents were the caretakers of the Miraval estate and he grew up there.
Originally, l’Amaurigue was a farm built in 1786 and the estate was mainly made up of forests. The first vines were planted in the 1960s thanks to the owners at that time, the Excoffon family, who selected the best varieties to be planted on the best parcels of the estate.

This is the same blend as the Fleur Rosé — made from 60% Grenache and 40% Cinsault. 250 year old vines grown on clay/limestone soils. Winemaking is also the same -
Night harvesting at low temperature. Wine-making in direct pressing with short maceration and 15°C heat-regulated low temperature fermentation. Natural cold clarification, with one single filtration before bottling with the aim of conserving and respecting the varietal aromas of the grape varieties.
This Provence rosé comes from a different parcel selection of Grenache and Cinsault grown only a stone’s throw from the exceptional terroir of Fleur – in the heart of Provence. The nose is dominated by citrus fruits. Mouth is delicate and round with really nice length. Its light salmon color, its powerful white peach and grapefruit aromas with a touch of apricots flavor in the end make it very fresh and enjoyable.
Enjoy as a pre-dinner drink or with a salad, quiche, lamb, seafood or even barbecued dishes and Asian food.
