Pouilly – Fuisse “Terrort de Fuissé” 2014
This cuvee, made from 100% chardonnay grapes and selected from old rootstock makes an excellent, lively and light white wine. The soil of clay and calcareous (limestone) contributes to the wine’s excellent taste.
Terroir de Fuissé is a glorious golden yellow color with green hints and has a balanced palate, rich, smooth and buttery. It has a round and long aftertaste. The fragrances are of grapefruit and white flowers with a delicate woody touch. On the palette, its luscious vanilla-hazelnut core gives way to a bracingly mineral Burgundian finish.
It is a perfect match for dishes with asparagus, white meat, lobster, all types of fish and seafood but particularly white fish, and salmon and also goes great with different kinds of French cheese. Try it with Reblochon, Soumaintrain (cheese from Burgundy region), Rocamadour, Sainte Maure de Touraine, Picodon, Bleu d’Auvergne.
