'Perivana' Cabernet Sauvignon
. . . . . . . . . . . . >Perivana is named after Gianni and Marco Storchi's mom Ivana. Biodynamic production done in a complete natural environment. The vineyards are located in a microclimate along side the Enza river with soils that were alluvial rich in clay and limestone and a high concentration of magnesium. The combination of these materials give the wines a richness and aromatic concentration that makes them unique and delicious. The fermentations are all spontaneous and there is no filtering or fining. 100% cabernet sauvignon Only 2534 bottles were made from the 2015 vintage. The wine is aged for 18 months in French barrels [50% new] and then spends a minimum of 12 months in bottle.
The image Φ before the company name STORCHI in our logo is PHI, the 21st letter of the Greek alphabet, a symbol of the harmony of the universe (used in cosmology, geometry, psychology, and pedagogy...).
In Italian, Φ is pronounced "F", and stands for the Fratelli (brothers) Storchi (Marco and Gianni) and Fontana (our mother Ivana's surname), while its visual form resembles a decanter.
